Idea 1 Radio breakfast Show  

 

What is your idea and why are you doing this?  

My idea is to do a week of Radio shows at breakfast time as that is the peak times and that will 9 until 11 it will be  to go into the studio at 8:30 to go over things like the script and the equipment and to make sure everything is working then on the air so this  will be broadcasted throughout the college and advertised on social media for you to listen to it at home this will be planned and have different segments in it and also interviews it will also have features to interact with the listeners. The reason I am doing this is I am I have passion to get into the radio industry and to hopefully land a show on national radio, So, this idea is a step in the door for career I am wanting to get into.   

 

What do you hope to achieve from it?   

A good radio show to make into radio demo to send out to radio station also to help me make good Radio to help with confidence and make me better at radio so be better with interviews and also be better at structcher in the shows getting interviews also able for a radio station to pick this and for it to lead to different pathways to get into the industry.  

 

 

How and why is this idea relevant in today’s climate? 

To make it this current climate I could talk about in one of the segments about the cost of living crisis or what 16/20 are worried about at the moment and how can I get someone in to talk about  in  on the show also I can talk about kind the things what are  trending at the minute  also I could talk about the charts the most played song what’s getting played at the moment and or I could do a whole show on local musicians at the age of 16/20 who  are trying to get there name out there and invite them in for interviews and do promotion foe the whole show as in Barnsley and at Vibe Radio  it is all for local music.  

 

 

What skills will you use/develop in the FEP? 

The skills I will use is presenting skills planning so to plan the whole show editing skills to edit features different sound effects also as well jingles for the show camera work if I need to film anything for promotion. Soft skills time management to make sure the whole show runs on time on the hour and end on the hour.  Commutation skills taking the guest about the interviews speaking to my tutors to let them in the college to come to the studio making sure that the studio is free for the 2 weeks I do my show and make sure its free at that time. Maths English skills for time management scripting the shot to plan the show. The skill I will develop is getting better at interviews so thinking of good questions to ask the guest I am interviewing.  

 

How is your idea challenging and ambitions? 

The idea is challenging because is 3-hour radio show as I’ve got t get interviews in for this make sure it is strucher to this, so it starts on the hour and finished on the hour. Also, it’s challenging as well in need to get presenting right as well making sure the time is right, so the content is suitable for that time of day also another challenging thing getting the interviews sorted and having   to have a backup for the interviews also another challenge is getting the running order and thinking of ideas for each day for the show. its ambitious that normally I would do a TV package what did for the last project which was challenging in some areas but I think by doing a radio show it’s something different and it will also get me better to doing radio and presenting.   

 

What relevant sources could you look at to support your idea?  

By listing to other radio stations and taking inspiration from how they strucher there radio shows and how they present shows so my listening to other student radio stations or local station and getting different ideas I so like youths choice  radio Rotherham radio and station such as Capital FM and stations like that but not looking at the whole of the station looking at their breakfast shoe so the show ill ill be doing it and seeing how everything is put together and what different segments  they have for the show how they interact with the listener. Some other sources a I can use is social media and looing watching tips on hoe presenters and producer put shows together and what are the best ideas for the show.  

 

Who is the ideal target audience for this idea?  

The ideal target audience for this is 16/20 students young adults so plying music and talking about music there interested in so playing music what’s in the chart’s at the moment also taking about topics in the news what will interest young adults.  

 

How does this link with you intended progression plan? 

So as I am wating to into the radio and the broadcast industry this idea is the right one for me I am all for radio different ideas for the radio shows and this will help me get into University and a step in the door into national radio so the radio shows I do is I can turn them into demo so I can send them off to different stations from this it will help.  

 

 

What difficulties could you face with this idea, and how will you overcome them? The difficulties I could face with this is interviews could cancel on me at the lats minute so I will need a backup the equipment like the mic or laptop or even the hard drive could ecrupt  on the day of the show I will need  a back up in case that does happen also I will need to make sure a day before that doesn’t happen if it does see what I can do to solve it see if I can get another mic if not see if I can swap the mic to one what works do a few test make sure evrything is working smoothly.  

 

How can you ensure that you not only receive a high grade, but your products mirror industry?  By looking and reaching similar products looking into them listening to different radio shows so the breakfast show on different radio stions reaching out to industry proffesnals so they can have a look through it and give me feedback the work an how I can make the product better In industry week speak to the radio proffesnals and get tips from them to see how to make great radio.  

 

How will you analyse and evaluate your progression? (think about production logs, feedback from teachers/peers/industry) so Il be doing production logs so taking about what I have done what I can do better next time and how can improve on this. Also, I can got to my tutors on advice what I can work in get better on wat needs to be in there and what doesn’t been to be in there take out also sending to radio presters to see what they think of the products and what I need to in prove on.  

 

What marketing could you do for the product(s) where and why should you advertised to get people interested in your product(s) how to promote the  product by promoting it and advertising it on social media also letting people know were to listen to the radio shows also  making social media pages were my target audience is going to be looking at like Instagram and Twitter etc on the day of  shows promoting it on stories letting the lister know were to find the station and giving them an in sight to were to find the.

 What is your idea and why are you doing this?  The idea I could be doing is a TV package about how buskers in south Yorkshire  are coping with the cost of living cris I am doing this as it Tv as well as radio I am want to go into and it them in industry that I am interested in and I have passion about.

What do you hope to achieve from it? The thing I want to achive is presenting and being able to present out in public areas also being able to edit big packages and get really good B-roll as well and also make a product what industry standed  and also what shines a above everyone else.

How and why is this idea relevant in today’s climate?​ This idea IS relevant to today's climate as it's about the cost living crisis what will be going on for a along time and it about buskers in south Yorkshire to see how they are getting along with it are they earing the right money  in town and city center also as well to see how the cost of living crisis has impacted them as well financially have they got another job as well and  busk now and then or do they do it full time and earing enough.  

 

What skills will you use/develop in the FEP?​ The skills I use is communication to arrange interviews and go up to the buskers to see if they have 5 minutes of their time to interview them about the subject also editing skills to put all the thing together and to make it industry standard the other skills I'll be using are  camera work setting up and camera working under pressure  making sure the camera works and also the mic and what's on the camera is working. Some other skills is presenting and script writing as well so i know what to say and to plan the whole thing as well.  

 

How is your idea challenging and ambitious?​ The TV package is challenging as i need to get the interviews what are hard to get as people do say yes then let you down at the last minute so i will need a backup of interviews also another challenge will be is finding the right people to interview as well  also editing and the finding the right b roll  for the subject i am talking about.  this product will be ambitious as i will be working towards getting the product the best it can and I'll be doing this by finding the right broll and getting really good shots of this also to make it industry standard.

The relevant sources i could look at to support my idea is tv packages on YouTube to see what way they make them and how they strucher them as well. Also, i could have a look at what proffesnal companies like the BBC have made before taking insights off them also can take source just by watching the TV as well what happends at the strat middle and end of the package.  

 

Who is the ideal target audience for this idea?​ my ideal Target audience is 25-mid 50 and buskers so the people who are struggling with the cost-of-living crisis and seeing an effect on day-to-day life and who are watching their money so not spending as much they  

 

How does this link with your intended progression plans? This links to intended progression plans as i am wanting to go into Tv and Radio to be a presenter and by doing a TV package this is way to show of the industry proffesanal. Also this link to progression plans as i am hoping to go onto this at Unieversty and to get a job out of this.

What difficulties could you face with this idea, and how will you overcome them?  The difficulties i might face are interviews may drop out so have a backup of people to interview and make sure they are all booked in on time  as well might overcome file may ecrupot so i will need a backup of file i camera breaks i will also need to make sure its tested and works fine before going out so i don't waste no time also, they may be internet problem so that might affect doing the planning or research so i will need more than one way of doing that  also on the way to editing the whole thing they may be file problems i will then need to make sure all the files are all saved another thing what may happen as well  is i may have audio problem so i may need to find ways two capture audio to sync with the video.  

 

 

  

How can you ensure that you not only receive a high grade, but your products mirror industry?  i will make look at similar product what will inspire me also ask the proffesnals  at the industry week in college also as well send it off to professional aswell to get feedback from them see what they think and is there anything i can work on  ask the people already in the industry to see how they would do and it what way  they would do it who do they think would be good for an interview and do they know any one. Also as well ask my tutors for feedback what do i need to work on or do different.

(think about production logs, feedback from teachers/peers/industry) throughout my production i will do pruduction logs either write them or record them also as well throught out i will ask tutors for feedback at the end of the product evaluate the whole thing by saying what went well what didn't go well also explain what didn't go well to explain to see if i overcome this i and did i use a backup of it to get it sorted also as well also in  the evaluation explain the things what went well throughout the product

How will i promote the whole product i will place it on social media such as YouTube Facebook and Instagram also as well i can promote photos during the promotion stage through Instagram stories and so a branding for it like for example toms TV something like that i can also reach out to professional   and  send it over to them by using linkin as  that's has a full network with people  

 

 

 

Idea 3 media news company.  

What is your idea and why are you doing this?   

My idea is a social media news page about the best places in south Yorkshire to get food from and why these are the best places the reason i am doing this idea is because in really like to be creative on social media and i think i can make the project go far  

What do you hope to achieve from it? What i hope to achieve from this is a good industry product what is going to be going far and reach a good amount of following and most imported what is going to also get me grade to go to university. Another thing what i want to achieve is new skills what haven't done before. 

   

How and why is this idea relevant in today’s climate? 

This idea is relevant to today's climate as social media is big at the moment and social media were really most people get their news from and it's a place to share and advertise.  

 

What skills will you use/develop in the FEP?  

The skills i will develop are graphic design skills to design the content for the pages also confident skills by doing video content for the page by doing vox pops also presenting skills to present the page and also the website as well the soft skills i will develop is time mangemt to schedule the right post out at the right time also l will develop content creating making sure the right target audience goes out the right target audice and it goes out at the right time another soft skill is working to deadlines making sure every piece of work is met by the deadline, and hard skill is editing skill to structure t all together.  

How is your idea challenging and ambitious?  

This idea is challenging as it is setting up my own media news company finding the right content for the page as i am the project about food i need to find places in South Yorkshire to get the content out so that will down to research also another thing what’s going to be challenging is growing the social media pages getting a following and knowing  what that target audience this is ambition to as i will be able to get the media news company proffesnal with a website and content to hit the right target audience also as well i think i can grow and good social media page with the content and how i will present it and also design it.  

What relevant sources could you look at to support your idea? The revalent sources i can use is different up and running social media pages like LADBIBLE Best of Barnsley Sheffield now and worldwide ones as well to  see how they present there pages what teckniques they use to interact with their audience and the times they post their content another thing is have a look at the media news pages what just post about different foods how do they do it how do they structure  there pages.  

Who is the ideal target audience for this idea? The ideal target audience for the media news page about food is 18 upwards the people who look on social media to for places to eat and food also it will be for restaurants as well for a platform for them to advertise it will be places Facebook and Instagram  both of them platforms are high and really are the best to promote this type of stiff on there and that is really were people go now to get ideas from.  

 

How does this link with your intended progression plans? 

This will link to my progression plans as I want to go producing social media and do marketing for radio stations too with presenting too and i like to experiment with social media too and see what is best and what gets the most viewed and likes on social media. Also, it will help me in progression plans as it's another skill I've got too.  

 

What difficulties could you face with this idea, and how will you overcome them?  the difficulties i could face are thinking of a good and catchy name and something what's going to stand out some other things are designing for the content that may ecrupt also as well any video content i do that my go wrong by not filmed properly or any sound issues mic may not be plugged in propley too  so how will i ober come it all have backups of everything too make sure it is all tested as well so these problems don't happened also well make sure i have a backup of content just in case any gets deleted or gets lots  too.

I ensure i will receive a high grade and also make it industry standard as make the media news page proffesnal also get fee back from tutors what can i improve on what can i make better send it off to the people who have already got pages like theses what advice have they got for it also as well look at inspratio what can a make what is different  and what look better to any one else and stand out also as well get feedback to what they will make better.

(think about production logs, feedback from teachers/peers/industry) how I'll do this is throughout production do production logs speak about what i have done that day or that week speak about what went what didn't go well also any problems i have throughout as well and what i can do better has any content gone wrong and how can overcome this as well  did of the interviews fall through  did a  reschedule  any to make it work or got someone else in to do it. At the end of it it all get peer feedback see what theirs think of the project evaluate it what went well what can i improve on can i do something better to get them extra marks on did i face any problems by doing this project also over all how did the project go.  

 

What marketing could you do for the product(s) where and why should you advertised to get people interested in your product(s)? 

The marketing tools i will use is Instagram Facebook Linkin the three top social media platforms what most people use also any video content to post it on YouTube also have links to these apps all in QR so it's easier for people to reach  and be able to interact with it too how will i make sure the content entertain my knowing my target audience test content out on the page know what the audince  want to see  and what they like too. Post stories out too engage in the audience that way too so it quick post like that what most 16 to 18 years like.
